Hiroko Watanabe - HOMEMADE BLOUSES

by Hiroko Watanabe Published by Nidi Gallery Press

This publication takes the form of a “recipe book of blouses”. Hiroko Watanabe creates artworks with delicate cloth and thread, mainly based on the theme of “little joys within daily life”. The readers are here invited to the fanciful process of making a blouse from the beginning to the end of the process, page after page. These “hand-made blouses” by Hiroko also may lead to a rich interpretation of subjects within the diversity of values that exist in the world today. HOMEMADE BLOUSES, the second book by Nidi Gallery Press, is designed by Daichi Aijima, director the art book label DOOKS. Photographs are authored by Tokyo based Kenji Kagawa.
